The Rices and 4th of July!

This year we decided for 4th of July to lay low. Micaiah, for the first time, did not like the loudness of the fireworks so we didn't fireworks at all. We did, however, spend the 4th with some of our dearest friends, The Rice's.

We know the Rices back from Louisville. When Clark first moved to Louisville he was serving at a church where Dan was serving as the bi-vocational pastor. From that time on Dan and Alba took Clark under there wing, showed him hospitality and loved on him! When I moved there they took me right in! We spend a lot of time in there home with them and their 4 precious children!

In early '07 Dan took a Job in Idaho. They also planted a church while they were out there. In late '07 we moved to Murfreeesboro (3 hours south of Louisville). We kept in touch from '07-'10. Clark and I often reminisced about our fun times with the Rices and said on a regular basis how we wished they were closer. Then, in June of '10 Dan called Clark to say he had taken a job in Nashville! HELLO! Thats's only 30 minutes down the road! We secretly did a happy dance in our living room that night!

We see them several times a month now. Sometimes more than once a week! We take turns driving to each other homes! There 2nd oldest son Adam will be attending MTSU here in a fews weeks and we were HONORED when they ask us to host him a few days a week so he wouldn't have to commute daily from Nashville to The Boro for classes. He will be in the music program! We are excited to have him in our home. We wouldn't do this for just anyone. I can tell you on one hand people that we would allow in our home Adam is a rare breed in today's society. He is respectful, mature, VERY smart and LOVES the Lord!

Here are a few pics of our sweet friends on the 4th!
